Carbocisteine - mucolytic and expectorant the action of which is caused by activation of enzyme of scyphoid cells of mucous membrane of bronchial tubes. It normalizes a quantitative ratio of acid and neutral sialomutsin of a bronchial mucous. Reduces viscosity of a bronchial mucous and sequester from accessory sinuses of the nose, facilitates discharge of expectoration and slime, reduces cough. Promotes regeneration of a mucous membrane, normalizes its structure, reduces number of scyphoid cells, especially in terminal bronchial tubes and as a result reduces production of slime. Recovers secretion of immunologicaly active IgA (specific protection), improves mucociliary clearance.

Cartidin is a medicine which has only two indications: primary or secondary osteoarthrosis. It belongs to non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. Cartidin is a derivative anthraquinoline, diacetylated derivative of rhine. It is well soaked up from GIT. Bioavailability is increased at meal by 25%.

It is used in the treatment of HIV infection in combination with an antiretroviral therapy in adults and children.
